From cash points and shopping to medical care, parking and everyday essentials – here’s everything useful to know for an easy stay at House Jelka.

 

Banks & AtMs

  • PBZ Bank – right at the harbour entrance

  • OTP Bank – behind the harbour

  • Several ATMs near the harbour

  • Currency: Euro – cards are widely accepted, but smaller cafés or markets may prefer cash

Fuel & EV charging

  • Petrol station in Supetar (road towards Bol)

  • EV charging:

    • Lidl Supetar – via Lidl Plus app

    • Postira & Bol – via Elen app

    • Mainland: Tesla Supercharger in Dugopolje

Shopping

  • Lidl, Konzum, Tommy – better prices outside the harbour area!

  • Note: Prices increased with the Euro – Studenac near the harbour is noticeably more expensive

  • Farmers market near the harbour: fresh fruit, vegetables, fish

  • Butcher Frenky – great quality meat, perfect for BBQ

Bike & Car Rental

  • Car & scooter rental near the harbour

  • Bike & e-bike rental in Supetar centre

  • You might get a better deal pre booking a car from home which you pick up on the mainland

Medical Care & Emergencies

  • Medical centre: Dom Zdravlja Brač, Put Gaja 1

  • Dentist: Ratac Ulica 2, 21400, Supetar

  • Pharmacy in town centre

Important:

  • The local clinic has limited treatment capacity

  • Doctors decide whether treatment can happen on the island

  • If needed, patients are transferred to Split by:

    • ambulance + ferry

    • medical speedboat

    • helicopter (depending on urgency & weather)

Parking

House Jelka does not have a private on-site parking space, and street parking is limited, especially in high season.

You may occasionally find free parking in the street, but availability can be unpredictable.

Please do not park inside the courtyard – access is very narrow and needs to remain clear so others can pass. The courtyard is not designed for parking.

Public Parking Options

  • There are several paid parking areas near the harbour and along the waterfront

  • A convenient option is the main parking area close to the ferry terminal

How parking works

  • Supetar uses different parking zones with varying rates

  • Payment is possible:

    • via parking machines 

    • mobile (Scan the QR code on the machine)

  • Pricing depends on the zone and season

Optional Private Parking

For guests arriving by car, we offer a private parking space near the ferry terminal:

  • available on request

  • subject to availability

  • can be added to your reservation

Tip: If you plan to use your car frequently, the private parking option can make your stay much easier – especially in summer.
